HUMBOLDT-UNIVERSITÄT ZU BERLIN INSTALLATION BACK
Above is Warming's art at the inaugural Art + Evolutionary Biology exhibition she created for Thaer-Institut. The institute is next door to the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin where she often works with scientists. She began this project in January, 2017 while working with Dr Michael Ohl, Curator of the museum's Hymenoptera Collections. Warming's drawings of Dr Ohl's, Paleontologist Dr Korn's and Entomology Manager Lukas Kirschey's ears are pictured here. The scientists worked with Warming on the Discovery Triptych also shown here, which she created from her drawings and their information. The exhibition opened in November 2017 for Berlin Science Week. Warming also curated the work of 25 international artists for this location and for the 2D Annex Gallery at Campus Nord Branch Library. This exhibition also included Video and Lecture Programs. These projects are Warming's socially engaged art.
